What customers say?

“ Excellent food at a great price. This is a nice family run soda where they speak English well. Really good food and nice portion sizes. Kids loved their fish fingers and we enjoyed traditional casados. ”

- Sabih Ahmed -

“ We had casado and fried fish. Both were really great! But pescado frito was outstanding! The food was also great value, compared to other touristy places at Brasilito beach. The owner is super friendly, tried to accommodate all out needs. ”

- Syed Arefinul Haque -

“ This place is better than soda brasilitto which is next door. Compared to all touristy places that are in this area this place has really good food at good prices. Soda brasilito next door adds so many extra charges We went in here since we realized all locals are coming here Food is solid and the owners and ppl that work here are really nice especially Brandon ”

- Mehran Reza -

“ Great service and tasty food. Stopped in for a lunch before school pick up and they sat us and were attentive. They made food that wasn’t on the menu for us at our request and it came out in a reasonable time. ”

- Tyler Wetzel -

“ Fell into this authentic CR resto. Delicious seafood soup and casada prepared by owner/chef! Highly recommend as the antithesis to the touristy conchal beach scene. Altho the water is a beautiful swim there ”

- Stonehouse David -

“ Just visited this soda and it was a pleasant surprise! The food was excellent, with a great selection of typical Costa Rican dishes at very reasonable prices. What really stood out was the service—Brandon took exceptional care of us. Even though we were a group of 10, he made sure everyone felt welcome and at home. Highly recommend! ”

- Michel K. -

“ Our first night in Brasilito we arrived late and were wanting a simple casual soda to eat at. Stopped in La Marimba. The staff spoke a little English but we were able to communicate and the food was delicious. We ordered chicken tacos, 2 cassadas and a bowl of fish soup - all of which were delicious - especially the homemade fish soup that was full of every seafood imaginable. The owner and staff were friendly and through some google translate we chatted about the rodeo playing on tv in the background - crazy sport. Enjoyed our evening so we returned 2 nights later for the same great food and service - changed things up to include seafood pasta and a plantain dish - also delicious. Casual, close to beach, inexpensive and not overcharged. They showed us our bill so we knew what to pay. I would recommend! ”

“ Great local restaurant!! The fish plates were delicious and don't miss out to try their Margarita on ice, simply exceptional!! ”
